Is the affordable camping cookware set from Amazon any good? In this Odoland camping cookware kit review, we’ll find out. Full review here: https://hikemuch.com/odoland-cookware-kit-review/
I purchased the Odoland camping cooking set a few months ago and so far, I’ve used it about ten to twenty times while day hiking and overnight camping. Although this set is branded by Odoland, it’s basically identical to many other cheap camping cookware sets sold under different Chinese brands, such as Bisgear, MalloMe, Petforu, G4Free, and many others. Most likely it’s an identical set, manufactured in a single factory, only sold by different re-sellers.
Although it’s not the most durable open fire cookware set, it’s very affordable. Personally, I think that the stainless steel cup that comes with this set is basically useless, so I never bring it with me. The foldable knife, fork, and spoon also don’t feel too durable. And I already broke one of the legs off from the plastic attachment for the gas canister.
That said, I do like the camping stove that comes with this set. It feels really durable and works flawlessly. It’s not the most efficient igniters out there (11:30 minutes to reach boiling temperature,) but it does the job just fine.
Overall, I like this camping cookware set. If you’re a beginner, you don’t need to invest 80$+ in an expensive camping stove, cooking pots, and eating utensils. If you don’t have the budget for something more premium, I’d say that it’s safe to purchase this one.
